Inhaled Medicines: Optimizing Development through Integration of In Silico, In Vitro and In Vivo Approaches aims to show that technological ingredients for inhaled medicines are in place, setting the stage for a future of inhaled drug development based in large part on in silico studies. Opportunities and challenges are addressed by a number of experts who tackle drug delivery problems from different scientific angles. Chapters discuss regional deposition in vivo via respiratory imaging and experimental in vivo assessments of deposition that can be complimented by in vitro models in combination with in silico methods, amongst other timely topics.
