The DermLite DL5 is the world's first hybrid dermatoscope with a variable polarisation system and 365 nm UV mode at full 10× magnification. Designed for dermatologists, skin cancer clinics and GPs, the DL5 supports every stage of a clinical skin check from rapid screening with the torch LED to detailed lesion assessment under cross-polarised or UV illumination.

Polarisation

• Toggle between DermLite-quality cross-polarised and non-polarised illumination
• Scroll through the full polarisation range, from deep-penetrating cross-polarisation to extremely superficial parallel polarisation, to visually highlight different skin layers

Optics

• ø32 mm lens system engineered for superb performance both up close and at working distance
• True 10× magnification for resolving fine dermoscopic structures

Illumination

• 16 white LEDs, 4 UV LEDs (365 nm), 4 PigmentBoost® LEDs, 1 torch LED, each mode individually brightness-adjustable across 9 levels
• Ultrabright white LEDs with the DermLite spectrum for optimised visualisation of pigmented and vascular structures
• 365 nm UV mode to highlight fluorescent structures, including MAY-globules, biopsy scars and scabies
• PigmentBoost® mode for enhanced visualisation of pigmented lesions
• Torch mode: ultrabright flashlight LED for illuminating skin surfaces or body cavities from a distance

Design

• Removable glass contact plate with 10 mm reticle (bayonet style)
• Compatible with a small-area contact plate (sold separately) for hard-to-reach areas
• IceCap® disposable covers are included to reduce cross-contamination
• Magnetically attached 100 mm ruler for precise lesion measurement and biopsy punch selection
• Compatible with virtually any smartphone via the included MCC adapter

Power

• 3000 mAh lithium-ion battery is more than twice the capacity of the DL4
• Four-level charge indicator; device sleeps after 3 minutes of inactivity
